If you feel the need to contact me about freelance work or you just have a burning desire to talk to me about life in general, then head on over to the contact page and I'll return your e-mail ASAP!
May 2018 — Present West Edmonton Mall
Currently I work on the marketing team at West Edmonton Mall. I create imagery, graphics, and other collateral for all of the attractions, hotels, and campaigns that are in, or for the mall. This has been a great opportunity as a fresh designer, and I hope it continues to help me grow and develop in my career. I'll keep you updated!
October 2017 — April 2018 Mtek Digital
Since October I have been working as the main video editor and director of photography for Mtek Digital, a branch of Microtek Corporation. Mtek has given me the opportunity to produce video content and learn while doing that! I have also been fortunate enough to create some animations that are featured on Mtek's YouTube channel, and edit nearly all the content that is produced internally and for clients.
April 2016 — April 2017 Inkubate Packaging
I worked as a graphics designer for a small packaging company in Leduc known as Inkubate Packaging. My responsibilities included creating custom die cut boxes and preparing them for production. I also created custom artwork for clients and ensured that existing art work was able to be applied to the clients finished packaging. There were also times I designed trade-show banners/booths and other promotional material for those clients.
September 2015 — April 2018 Design Students Organization
Starting in my first year of university I joined the Design Students Organization at MacEwan. The first year I joined I was a helper to the other executive team members. In my second and third year I took the roll of Vice President, helping organize events, manage other team members, and contribute my design skills where needed. The most notable event we organized was in my second year. The DSO created 'Orange' a weekend long design conference that brought design students and industry professionals together to learn and collaborate with each other.
September 2017 — April 2018 Portfolio Show Executive Member
In my final year of university I took on the roll of Vice President for the Portfolio Show Executive team. I played a key part in organizing and establishing a plan for the portfolio show. Organizing subcommittees, brainstorming layouts, contacting vendors and other external groups were some of the main roles in the position.
